The Memory Shirt
Turn your child’s drawing into wearable art — made by the sun itself.
Each shirt is hand-treated with a cyanotype solution and exposed to sunlight to permanently print your child’s artwork in a stunning deep blue, brown or black tone. No two prints are ever the same — every shirt is a one-of-a-kind keepsake that captures their creativity in a natural, lasting way.
I use a traditional cyanotype printing method — one of the earliest photographic techniques — to transfer your child’s artwork directly onto 100% cotton fabric. The result is a truly sentimental keepsake — one-of-a-kind, hand-printed, and made to celebrate your child’s creativity.
Whether it’s a crayon doodle, a portrait, or a wild imagination on paper — together, we’ll turn it into something you can wear and treasure. Pricing starts at $80. Each piece is made to order, so please fill out the contact form to begin your custom design.

All shirts are made from 100% cotton — a natural fiber that reacts beautifully to the cyanotype process.
Available in t-shirts, long sleeves, or sweatshirts for adults and kids.
Fabric colors must be light (white, cream, pale gray, or natural) to ensure a clear blue print.
The cyanotype solution I use is eco-friendly and water-based, then permanently developed and rinsed by hand.
Each print is cured and washed before shipping to ensure durability and softness from the very first wear.

Every design starts with your child’s artwork.
Upload a high-resolution scan of the drawing (or mail the original — I can help arrange delivery).
I’ll prepare the artwork to print cleanly on fabric while preserving your child’s original lines and details.
Want a specific shirt style, size, or layout? We’ll work together on placement and scale before printing.
You can also include your child’s name, date, or a short title subtly printed below the artwork if desired.
Optional add-ons:
Multiple prints on one shirt (e.g., sleeve or back)
Matching parent/child sets
Bulk orders for gifts or family keepsakes

Cyanotype is a sun-powered printing method discovered in the 1840s — the same technique used for early blueprints.
Here’s how your shirt is made:The cotton fabric is hand-coated with a light-sensitive cyanotype solution.
Your child’s artwork is turned into a film negative and placed on the fabric.
The piece is exposed to natural sunlight, developing the image in a rich blue hue — or in a warm brown or deep black if the solution is naturally dyed.
Finally, it’s rinsed, neutralized, and air-dried to reveal the permanent image.
Because each print reacts differently to sunlight and temperature, every shirt is unique — the tones and edges will vary slightly, giving each one the charm of a handmade piece.

Your shirt is made to last with gentle care:
Wash inside out in cold water, gentle cycle

Over time, tones may soften slightly — a natural part of the cyanotype’s beauty
